INTRODUCING METHYLENE BLUE

METH

Originally created in the 1870s as a textile dye, methylene blue (MB) is reportedly the first synthetic chemical to be used as a medication.  In 1881, a Berlin scientist used MB to treat malaria. Several early medications were derivatives of MB as a parent compound, including hydroxychloroquine!

What are the potential medicinal benefits of taking MB? The primary benefits are it is antiviral, neuroprotective, anti-depressant, and neurodegenerative. It can treat traumatic brain injuries, urinary tract infections, and promotes energy, slows skin aging, increases longevity, addresses long haul covid, nootropic, anti-cancer, and antidote for cyanide and carbon monoxide poisoning.  As a neuroprotective, it has scientifically been proven to protect and restore/reset brain function and bipolar depression.  For long-haul covid, Dr. Pierre Kory says MB binds very effectively to the toxic spike protein.  Mark Sloan, author of The Ultimate Guide to Methylene Blue, states that MB can “effectively eliminate Sars Cov-2 within 2 minutes.”  MB can resolve hypoxia (low oxygen) in covid patients.

Because MB is an MAO inhibitor, it may help with depression and enhance mood. MB is an excellent antioxidant and pro-oxidant (think cancer). MB may alleviate brain fog and fatigue.  It may enhance your memory.  Remarkably, MB repairs damaged tissue, cells, and mitochondria. Using red light or near-infrared light therapy will enhance the effects of MB. MB is beneficial when flying as it may reduce or eliminate jet lag and lower the risk to infection.

Methylene Blue comes in powder and a liquid solution.  It should be USP grade, certified for purity. MB is highly bioavailable. Be aware MB may turn your mouth and tongue blue as well as your urine. Use a straw to avoid staining teeth. Dosing is critical.  In many cases, a low dose is more effective than a high dose. Start low and go slow.  MB does not taste good, but this can be addressed by adding ascorbic acid and lemon juice which will also minimize the blue discoloration. Methylene Blue is an amazing substance that very few people know about!

Dr. Mercola says every medicine cabinet should have methylene blue in it. As this goes to press, we are working on a quality USP source for MB. Please email me at rickATgeorgetownmarket.com or speak with a Natural Living associate to learn more. For an audio version, go to this link.
