In the last 6 weeks I have had four individuals tell me they had a high calcium score. Prior to this, I could not tell you the last time someone came to me with a high calcium score. Apparently, I am supposed to research and write an article about this topic.
What is a calcium score? It is an indication of the presence of arterial plaque. “Clogged arteries” is another term. According to conventional medicine, there is nothing that can be done to lower a high calcium score. Of course, pharmaceuticals such as statins are often recommended to control the situation.
First, how does plaque form? The endothelial (inner lining of arteries) is damaged, then immune cells and smooth muscle cells migrate, creating a fatty streak. Over time, calcium, fibrin, and debris harden into plaque. Plaque can narrow arteries or rupture, forming clots that lead to heart attacks or strokes.
The causes of plaque buildup are polyunsaturated fats (PUFAs), smoking, high blood pressure, high blood sugar, mineral depletion, diets high in processed foods and sugary drinks, stress, and obesity.
What if plaque is reversible? A landmark study involving 1,062 patients over twelve months revealed results that shattered everything we have been told about managing heart disease. Participants taking high-dose nattokinase achieved 66.5% to 95.4% plaque regression rates. Carotid artery thickness was reduced. Plaque size dramatically shrunk. No adverse effects reported. Participants taking low dose nattokinase saw no improvement.
Nattokinase directly dissolves the fibrin matrix and plaque structures causing arterial occlusion. To achieve even better results, add vitamin K-2, exercise, quit smoking and limit alcohol.
Why haven’t you heard about this breakthrough? Because nattokinase is a food-derived enzyme that cannot be patented. No patent, no profits for pharmaceutical companies.
What dose of nattokinase is considered to be high dose? 10,000 FU/day. If you are on blood thinners, consult with your doctor or practitioner, as nattokinase may increase bleeding risk. I recommend starting with one capsule daily for one week, then increasing to two per day if there are no adverse side effects.
Statin drugs are taken by more than 90 million Americans, often with serious side effects. In addition to high dose nattokinase and K-2, serrapeptase, vitamin C ascorbate, lysine and magnesium glycinate or magnesium malate are also helpful in preventing and reducing arterial plaque.
Please see a Natural Living associate to purchase a liposomal high dose nattokinase with serrapeptase and other supplements mentioned above. Please email me with any questions at rick@georgetownmarket.com.
