Finish Summer

As summer in Indiana draws to a close we find it hard to say goodbye, but there’s still fun that can be had with the days we have left. There are many events coming up all over the Indy area that are sure to entertain you or the whole family!

If you haven’t had the opportunity to get your summer sports fix in there’s still time left to come out and enjoy a plethora of different sports in the Indy area. First, your Indianapolis Indians are going up against the Louisville Bats in their last regular season game of the season on September 1st! Maybe baseball isn’t your thing, that’s ok, you can always catch our Indy Eleven soccer team taking on the New York Red Bulls II on September the 5th or the Tampa Bay Rowdies on September 26th! However, everyone knows it’s September and that means Football season is back in full swing! The first regular season game for your Indianapolis Colts will be on the 9th of September against the Cincinnati Bengals. Aside from our minor and major league sporting teams there will be several athletic events happening this month at the collegiate level as well.

For all of the music lovers out there, events are happening all over Indy in the month of September to fill your music craving! Kirk Whalum will be playing at The Jazz Kitchen the first of the month, if good food and jazz music are up your alley. Maybe you’re looking to pay a visit to the HI-FI? Then you have to check out the show being put on by Jukebox the Ghost September 6th! Then, a day later on the 7th the Old National Centre will be featuring THE WLDLFE in concert. There are several other concerts to enjoy throughout the rest of the month, so do some searching to find a band or musician that fits your style!

Welcome the Fall Fun:
That’s right, the season is almost upon us, which means apple orchards, pumpkin patches, Halloween, and leaves falling from trees. In the spirit of the season there are many places you and your family should visit and enjoy throughout the months to come. If visiting farms during this time of year is your family’s favorite activity, then be sure to swing by Tuttle Orchards starting in September for all kinds of activities ranging from apple picking to a corn maze and even a beautiful pumpkin patch later in the month! There are many other locations offering similar experiences throughout the season like the Waterman’s Family Farm and Pleasant View Orchard. Get your family out to enjoy any of these great locations as soon as you can!

With plenty of activities happening all over Indianapolis beyond those listed here, there are tons of ways to take advantage of the last few days of summer while preparing to welcome in the Fall Season! Whether you’re looking to spend a day out with friends, a couple looking for a fun date idea, or a family looking to spend time together there’s something for everyone to enjoy around the Indy area. Take advantage of these last few days of summer and enjoy.
