About Georgetown

Born and raised in Indianapolis, Rick attended Pike High and graduated from Purdue University in 1974 with a BS degree in business management. He joined Merchants National Bank in the management training program in 1974 and became branch manager of the Zionsville branch in 1977 before leaving the bank in 1979 to join the family health food business, Georgetown Health Foods, which Rick founded in 1973 with his parents. In 1996, Rick purchased land and moved the store to a free-standing building located at 4375 Georgetown Rd. Rick became majority owner of Georgetown Market when his father passed in 1998. In 2019, Rick’s son, Andrew became majority owner and currently runs the business.

Rick is married to Carrie Martin and has 3 children from a previous marriage. Two of the children, Brett and Andrew, are active in the operations of Georgetown Market. His daughter, Lauren, is a chiropractor and doctor of functional medicine. Rick has 8 grandchildren, enjoys traveling, pickleball, day trading, studying nutrition, and spending time at their house in St Croix.

Andrew Montieth is the President and owner of Georgetown Market, son of the founder Rick Montieth, and the grandson of founders Dick and Peg Montieth. Andrew grew up in the business, spending weekends and summers helping out where needed throughout high school and college. He graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree in Retail Management in 2003 and immediately started full-time work at Georgetown Market. Andrew held positions of Deli Manager, Grocery Manager, Assistant Store Manager, Store Manager, and continues in the role of President.

Andrew married his wife Ana in September 2023 and has three children: Katie, Carter, and stepdaughter Ava. He is a hobbyist woodworker, specializing in hand tool projects and finds his escape either in the garage, on a weekend trip with his wife, or at the dinner table with his family.
